This 21 inch cast bronze version of the monumental cast bronze sculpture CHILDREN OF THE WORLD, created by Lauren Grey for World Book Educational Products, is a limited edition of 25 pieces.

President Jimmy Carter so admired this sculpture that it was gifted to him and sits on a pedestal beside his desk in The Carter Library in Atlanta, Georgia.

The sculpture represents five children of different ethnic groups interacting and holding hands as they soar into the air triumphantly holding copies of the World Book Encyclopedia as the first girl stands atop the globe, World Book’s logo. The sculpture rests on a green marble swivel base.

“Lauren. …It was thoughtful of you to write and provide a history of the “Children of the World” sculpture. It is a beautiful piece; one which is greatly admired by Carter Center guests. … Sincerely, Jimmy Carter”
